Third International EcoHealth Conference 2010

The overarching theme for the third Biennial EcoHealth Conference is Global Ecohealth Challenges; Multiple Perspectives. Daily themes include Urban EcoHealth, Biodiversity & EcoHealth and Sustainability & EcoHealth. The Conference will be held 18-20th of August 2010, hosted by theLondon School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. The next biennial EcoHealth conference will be held in London, August of 2010.

Notice: Board Vacancies
Due to resignations at the end of the 2007-2008 biennium, the Board of the Association is seeking to appoint suitable members to serve on the Board for the 2009-2010 period, and hopes to make these appointments by June 2009. One of these appointees will be a student from the student section of the Association.

We are already looking ahead. Our Association requests applications to host the 2010 biennial EcoHealth Conference. The deadline for applications has been extended to October 20th, 2008. All details can be found by downloading the official announcement [PDF].

EcoHealth has a new logo!
Our new logo retains some old and incorporates some new elements. We have retained the familiar text-logo from our journal cover, but incorporated a green theta, which is the universal symbol for ecology (coined in 1969, it conveniently combines the letters ''E' and 'O' from the words 'Environment' and 'Organism''). Our new logo forges a historical and strong link between ecology and health.

We thank our designers for their hard work on our logo.

We are excited to announce that EcoHealth has been indexed on PubMed. This is an important accomplishment for our journal, and we hope that it continues to flourish.
