Who we are

Karen Morrison

Board Member, International Association for Ecology & Health
University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada

Dr. Morrison's interests relate to inter- and transdisciplinary research in ecology and health grounded in complexity science and situated learning. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Population Medicine Department of the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph. She is a co-principle investigator on several programs related to ecosystem approaches to health, as well as international research ethics and multi-level governance. Dr. Morrison holds a BSc in Environmental Science and Biology, an MSc in Environmental Engineering and an interdisciplinary PhD in Rural Studies. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Network for Ecosystem Sustainability and Health and is part of the Canadian Community of Practice in Ecohealth. Dr. Morrison is also engaged in several initiatives of Veterinarians without Borders - Vétérinaires sans Frontières Canada. She teaches in the Master of Public Health and DVM programs at the University.
